Why Cookies are Better Than Men

mug
By Anne Penderblake
Sorry guys! There are lots of ways that a cookie can replace a man – and do a better job of it! Here’s a little preview from my new book, Why Cookies are Better than Men. It’ll be on the impulse-buy rack of your favorite bookstore later this month! Pick up a copy for that girlfriend who’s having man troubles. And remind her that cookies will never let her down!

Cookies are warm!

Cookies can help you get through a rainy day.

My so-called best friend Elizabeth wouldn’t betray me and run away with the cookie I had chosen to spend my life with.

A cookie will never leave the seat up!

When I get on a bus full of cookies, I can’t hear all the perverted little thoughts that are going through their heads.

A cookie will never get defensive if you criticize its driving.

It wasn’t a cookie who refused to take my coupon at the grocery store less than a day after it expired. Yep – it was a man!

A cookie will not criticize your driving.

Cookies pick up after themselves!

Cookies have chocolate chips and/or cinnamon.

After you’ve devoured a cookie, it won’t spread rumors about you to other cookies and try to warn them away from you.

You can take a cookie to meet your parents without feeling embarrassed!

A cookie will snuggle with you at night, and not just leap up out of bed and leave once it gets what it wants from you.

A cookie knows when to treat you like a partner, when to treat you like a princess, when to treat you like a whore, and when to treat you like a little girl.

Cookies are sweet!
