Greetings!

Welcome to the Central Standard Jug Time Band website.

Since Summer of 2000, the CSJTB has been providing enjoyable old-timey music for the greater Chicagoland area.

Upcoming Gig

The Central Standard Jug Time Band will be appearing for a song or two at Kitchen Sink at the Playground Theater (3209 N. Halsted, Chicago) on Monday, December 6th, 2004. $5 BYOB. We'll be warming up for some improv.

We got a new cover we'll bust out (based on a song popular with the kids these days) and maybe an old chestnut too. Please stop by!

Feature Gig

The Winstons
The CSJTB took it to the streets to appear in the The Winston Revue on Feb 28, 2002 at ComedySportz Theatre in Chicago, IL.
Mr. and Mrs. Winston had a rollicking old-school Las Vegas review that was pure entertainment. Our old-timey jug band will kick out the jams as a guest...and played the following songs.

Set List (02/28/02)

Rock and Roll PT 2 >> Cripple Creek
Alabama Waltz
Are You From Dixie?

Everything went well...except for George Eckart's washbucket bass breaking twice. He switched to the jug for the rest of the set. "In the jug band business, one cannot account for the unpredictablity of homemade instruments," said Eckart.
