Theproducesection.com is proud to announce our first foray into politics with an endorsement in the U.S. Senate race in Illinois. We hereby endorse businessman and dairy owner Jim Oberweis for U.S. Senate.
If you havent been fortunate enough to enjoy a chocolate shake from the master, check out www.oberweisdairy.com for a tantalizing sneak preview. The hazelnut-filled cookie sticks they put in there, oh man
Jim has never held a public office, but his campaign is off to a great start. His web site touts his endorsement by the New Trier Republican Organization, where Jim won a majority of the members votes of confidence.
"This is the single greatest victory for any race, particularly in a race for the U.S. Senate, that I have ever witnessed in the 35 years I have been active in politics," said [the head of the New Trier Republican Organization]. How exciting is that?! Oberweis won a whopping 86% of the NTROs votes that day. Can you imagine a greater victory in any race? 86% of the New Trier Republican Organizations votes? Clearly, irrefutably, the greatest political victory ever.
But why is Jim Oberweis so popular? How can he put up those kinds of numbers? Here is a brief outline of some of Jims positions and promises:
 |
Jim will have the unique ability to break ties in the Senate with a "lemon custard payoff."
Jims plans to fight statewide obesity include a skim milk subsidy. Contingency already is arranged to combat the ensuing whole-milk black market, including a specially-trained undercover sting unit, with operatives on the street, and in the schools, at all levels, K-teacher.
Jim preaches tolerance: lactose tolerance. An estimated 10-15% of the U.S. population, and up to 75% of the population worldwide is lactose intolerant. Thats a lot of potential constituents! You are not forgotten! Jim will work hard to make dairy-free books, sodas, and gasoline available across the state.
|
Finally, Jim is a very eloquent speaker. Take a look at this recent quote: "Ronald Reagan talked about America as a shining city on a hill. If you really look, youll see that the shine is coming from an ice-cream city wall with a cheddar cheese drawbridge over a milk moat. That's the America that people dream of. That's the America that's worth fighting for. That's the America that I want to go to Washington to help restore," Oberweis said.
If you love progress, cheese and a politician who keeps his promises, vote for Jim Oberweis for U.S. Senate in Illinois.
