How exciting is that?! Oberweis won a whopping 86% of the NTRO’s votes that day. Can you imagine a greater victory in any race? 86% of the New Trier Republican Organization’s votes? Clearly, irrefutably, the greatest political victory ever. But why is Jim Oberweis so popular? How can he put up those kinds of numbers? Here is a brief outline of some of Jim’s positions and promises: • Jim will have the unique ability to break ties in the Senate with a "lemon custard payoff." • Jim’s plans to fight statewide obesity include a skim milk subsidy. Contingency already is arranged to combat the ensuing whole-milk black market, including a specially-trained undercover sting unit, with operatives on the street, and in the schools, at all levels, K-teacher. • Jim preaches tolerance: lactose tolerance.
